the network
For nearly a decade, the Sport Entertainment Management MBA at UNT has collaborated with international sports entities and executives, building an extensive industry network of leading executives. SIS@UNT leverages these collaborations, involving experts in venture capital, investing, sports tech, and innovation; resulting in an extensive advisory board, who engage with our members daily. Partnerships with Frisco Economic Development Council and Plug and Play Sports Tech, provide unparalleled on-ramps to the world’s largest accelerator program in the world, with over 240 global offices and though centers.

the space
In 2024, Sports Business Journal ranked Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) as the top sports city in the country. Frisco is at the center of it all, playing host to the headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, PGA of America, Dallas Stars, and minor league affiliates of the Dallas Mavericks (Texas Legends) and Texas Rangers (Frisco Roughriders). Members of SIS@UNT get 24/7 access to a shared workspace at the Star Entertainment District in the offices of Plug and Play Sports Tech, and have access to state-of-the-art amenities, conference rooms, kitchen, and an incredible view of DFW, which will be the perfect backdrop for client meetings.

the programs
SIS@UNT members are provided curated programming throughout the year, focused on professional development, networking opportunities, and/or showcasing their company. These opportunities help our members refine their business strategies and also introduce them to industry leaders who offer valuable mentorship and insights. Through engaging discussions, hands-on workshops, and exclusive events, participants will gain a deeper appreciation of the evolving landscape of the American sports industry, leveraging data-driven approaches to identify emerging trends and opportunities in this fast-paced ecosystem.
