PRIVACY NOTICE
This notice explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: the site sets no tracking cookies, and the only personal information it receives is what you choose to send us through the contact form.
LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
Who we are
This website is run by the Sports Innovation Space @ UNT (SIS@UNT), part of the University of North Texas, at Origin at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
What we collect
When you send the contact form, we receive what you type into it:
- your name and email address
- your company, if you add it
- the topic you choose and your message
What happens automatically
Like every website, this one is delivered by servers that keep short technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes those logs on our behalf.
The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and its fonts are served from our own server, so visiting it does not send your details to Google or any other third party.
Why we use your information
We use what you send through the form only to reply to you, to discuss membership, programs, events or the other topic you raised, and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who receives it
Your message goes to the SIS executive director at a University of North Texas email address, and may be shared with SIS staff who need it to answer you. When automatic delivery is switched on, the message is passed to our email provider, Resend, solely to deliver it. If automatic delivery is off, your own email program sends it.
To limit abuse, the email address on a submission is held briefly in the server's memory and then discarded. The website itself does not store your message in a database.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry, and in line with the University of North Texas's records retention rules.
Public information law
As part of a public university, the SIS is subject to the Texas Public Information Act. Information you send us may be disclosed if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to us using the details below.
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If the website starts collecting anything new, such as analytics, we will update this notice first and change the date at the top.
