For nearly a decade, the Sport Entertainment Management Program at UNT has collaborated with international sports entities and executives, building globally top-ranked academic programming. In 2024, the online MBA Sport Entertainment Management program was ranked Number 1 in the world among online graduate sport management programs. SIS@UNT leverages these collaborations, involving top executives from most sports entities in DFW and extending the network to include experts in venture capital, investing, sports tech, and innovation. This has resulted in an extensive advisory board, who all made a commitment to engage with our members on a continuous basis.

The US sports industry is the largest and most complex in the world, posing unique challenges for international companies. Various entities, often corporate, operate and compete at different levels, from youth sports to intercollegiate and professional levels. In this intricate marketplace, we assist companies in finding their ideal product-market fit and developing effective strategies to scale their business in the US. We equip our members with a base of operations and the necessary tools and expertise for success. By collaborating with top executives in the DFW sports ecosystem, we help reveal their ideal product-market fit through curated and customized content and programming. ​​

​In 2024, Sports Business Journal ranked Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) as the top sports city in the country. Frisco, at the heart of DFW, plays host to the headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, FC Dallas, PGA of America, Dallas Stars, and minor league affiliates of the Dallas Mavericks (Texas Legends) and Texas Rangers (Frisco Roughriders). Members will have priority access to UNT Sports Entertainment Management BBA and MBA students through volunteering, internships, and class projects. These organic interactions allow members to get a ‘first look’ at the talent within the programs and hire the best students, through internships and jobs, to kickstart their work in the US.
